International de Panama. I am Franco-Malagasy. I was born in Guyana, I lived one year in the Amazon, five years in Madagascar, five years in Gabon, and now in Panama. I have always been very sensitive to what concerns nature and the environment, with my life experiences in these different countries, so rich in biodiversity, and at the same time, so badly treated and threatened, by human stupidity. Pollution, deforestation, global warming...
As I have always lived at the seaside, I am in daily contact with the problems of pollution in the ocean! On the one hand, I'm very lucky. I snorkel, I surf, and when I paddle, I sometimes even see dolphins or turtles! On the other hand, I often swim with pieces of plastic around me! Since I was little, I always picked up what I could when leaving the beach, and I always came back home with a bin always full! The ocean is suffocating!
We can't just do nothing! The fight against plastic pollution is one of my battles, but it's not the only one!
With my family, we love to walk in the forest and explore natural parks. In Madagascar, many people are poor and survive by destroying the forest... while in developed countries, there is a lot of waste! This makes me very angry! We travelled for two months in Southern Africa. While camping there, I have seen all the beauty of the world, the jungle or the savannah, and its threatened wild animals, and it affected me for ever. In Indonesia, on the island of Sumatra, I also saw orangutans, and the devastation of their habitat. Since then, I try to boycott all products that may contain palm oil.
We can't always control everything, but there are alternatives, and everyone can do their part to save the earth and live in a better world... At home, we try to consume responsibly every day, reduce plastic as much as possible and pollute less... I also fight against waste and unnecessary over-consumption! People don't always understand me, but I don't give up... I try to convince as many people around me as I can... I am one of the 3 eco-delegates in my French high school. I share my experiences, we organise debates, and I propose and participate in all the eco-citizen actions in my school, whether it is cleaning, sorting or doing recycling workshops. Today, I am proud to be a Little Citizens For Climate ambassador, because I want to act, more than ever, to share and push as many people as possible to react! We are all concerned and I would like to make sure that in the future, nobody can say that we didn't do anything!
Later, if I'm lucky enough to have a future, I would like to become a French ambassador oversea, to share my message all over the world.
