A day-long Environment Protection Campaign to spread awareness among people about the adverse effect of plastic uses was organized by LCFC-Bangladesh on 28 January, 2020 at Upzilla Parishad Chattar, Charfassion supported by UNICEF, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs & Coast Trust.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mr. Ruhul Amin inaugurated the campaign on 28 January morning.

Twenty adolescents from Adolescent Clubs, Rover Scout and other voluntary organizations took part and made different types of hand craft, flower tubs, vase & show pieces etc. by recycling disposal & single-used plastic bottles in this campaign.
They also learnt & made practically hand-made masks following WHO formula to protect corona virus.

The aim of this campaign was to make people aware on environment, discourage on excessive use of plastics and to inspire adolescents in social & creative work.

Upzilla Women and Children's Affairs Officer Mr. Ramendranath Bishwas, Coast Trust District Team Leader Rashida Begum, Upzilla ICT Officer Al Mahmud, Senior Vice President of Upzilla Climate Forum Monir Aslame, Assistant Project Co-ordinator of APC Project Debhasish Majumdar, Project Officer Sanjay Kumar, Child Rights Facilitator (CRF) Eliyas Ahmed, Arifur Rahman, student leader Hasan Mahmud Babu was present & visited the campaign.
They also admired this exceptional initiative of local adolescents.
